Dark Lord Kevin sat on his golden throne.

He was not amused.The world seemed to be surrounding him and closing in. He spoke out into the dimly lit room. “Page.

As a member in the Honorable Society of Dark Lords, One must obey all of the carnal rules.

Andros the page ran from the corner and presented himself before the Dark Lord. A quiet request and the boy was of, sprinting through the stone hallways of the keep.

1. No open war. Open war opens suspicions. We are Dark Lords, not Warlords.

Derrin, the scribe, hurried into the hall. how bowed to the Dark Lord and turned to the scribe’s chair.It was a well worn wooden table, with a fine chair. Andros was already laying out various materials. Derrin sat down, unscrewed the inkwell and cut a new tip on the feather. He look at the Dark Lord expectantly.

2. No experiments may threaten reality. There are mages watching or these experiments and will shove the shutdown feedback through you. It hurts like Hell.

“Scribe, Make a list. Item One. Staff. Post a Memo in the city square about the vacancy in the guardsmen. See if there are any other vacancies we should put notices out for. Item Two. Safety. Have the members of the staff under go a seminar on safety procedures for various lab accidents. Poll the scientists to find out what should be in it, have the Guard Captain Harn present it. He’s good at stuff like that.”

3. Pay your Dues. Failure to do so is a breach of contract and, depending on the severity of the failure to pay, you may expect to find the doomsday weaponry at our disposal pointed at your place of residence.

“Item Three. Stewardship. Have the local informants poke around a bit. Theres a town meeting this week and I want to be prepared. Item Four, find a suitable recompense for the Widow Graw. Have Sargent Winter deliver the bad news.”

4. Do not challenge the authorities until you are in a position to fully declare your candidacy for world domination. Any declaration must be signed, notarized, and presented before the High Council at least two weeks before the official announcement.

“Item Five. Find out what hourglass the Royal Guard is looking for. Question the Mages, release the Spies, focus the Historians. They think I have it. I want to know if I should have it. Also, have the Captain tighten security. I’m a bit pressed for time these days, I don’t want any heroes intur-”

The door to the throne room was kicked open. It was the Hero.

5. Just because your evil, doesn’t mean you have to be stupid.

  2. Hilarious. You should proofread it though, especially the paragraph introducing Derrin.
